How long can you drive with an overcharging alternator? honda civic?

i think its like at 14-16 v, honda civic 96, not the default alternator, a generic on b/c the default burned out recently. also i have a sub in the trunk, would disconnecting that change anything, also would that cause an alternator to mess up like this. the regulator inside the alternator? it was brand new and then 3 months later..... this is what happens, abs (yellow) lights on and occasionally srs (red light) light is on. radio cuts in and out when the abs light is on, and its on almost all the time. but I've been surviving with the car as isHow long can you drive with an overcharging alternator? honda civic?Driving with the alternator over charging could potentially cause a lot of damage. I have seen a couple of batteries literally explode due to over charging.
