vI'm new at changing these things and I find tough to get in there and change the belt. too many boltsHow to change an alternator belt on a 1990 Mazda Protege?you have to reselease the power steering pump first then at the alternator look for the tensioner there and probably you have to go under the car to release the alternator in order to release the alternator

I would suggest the purchase of a Haynes repair manual for this car.. not too expensive.. at the auto parts store.. will show you how to do this kind of stuff.....
